Overseen by Broome County Parks and Recreation, the arena is avaliable for sports events, conventions, concerts, etc. Home of American Hockey League Binghamton Devils hockey team.
JAM Fitness offers two types of Yoga classes. On Mondays, there is Melt Yoga. Relax and unwind at the end of the day. Gentle flows and deep stretches to ease into the week. On Saturdays, there is Morning Yoga. Wake up and get moving! Energizing sequences and uplifting music to prepare for anything the day has in store.
The Arc of Livingston-Wyoming has two recreational programs with a calendar of events to participate in. Call for more details.
Recreation for Kids/Teens
From community parks to area fitness centers and bowling alleys, don’t be surprised where you might cross paths with the enthusiastic participants of the Kids/Teen Recreation program. Two groups (age 8-14 and age 14-18) meet on separate Saturdays for age-appropriate recreation activities. This service is offered at no cost to families.
Recreation for Adults
Adults over 18 receive a monthly calendar. Community outings include bowling, dance class, horseback riding, scrapbooking, sporting events, shopping, and trips to local restaurants. Transportation is included but the cost is paid by the individual with the disability.
The Broome County Urban League (BCUL) runs a technology center where free or inexpensive computer classes are taught. Learn Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, Access, Windows, Online Basics, Keyboarding, or take an Introduction to Computers class. A free open lab is available to anyone who needs a computer.
The Community Health Intervention Program is run by the Broome County Council of Churches. It is a cooking program, with one class a week for six weeks. Held at Johnson City Senior Center.
With the dedicated assistance of trained staff and volunteers, Delarc offers support to families by providing opportunities for people with disabilities to enjoy recreational activities with their peers. Regular weekly activities provide respite to families allowing them freedom run errands, schedule appointments or tend to other business. Activities are based on the interests of the individuals participating and have included arts and crafts classes, swimming, sporting events, camping, and weekend excursions, just to name a few.

Pound is the world's first cardio jam session inspired by the infectious, energizing, and sweat-dripping fun of playing the drums. Participants will use Pound Ripstix and a mat.
Action for Older Persons (AOP) runs the TechSmart Computer Center, which offers classes, workshops, and tutoring in areas such as: digital photo basics, geneology, digital games, computer security and introduction to computers.
The Arthritis Foundation Exercise Program, operated by RSVP, helps those who have joint and/or muscle problems achieve improved mobility, strength and endurance. Program is free. Call for meeting schedule.
