We have volunteers who provide transportation for some medical appointments for people ages 60 and older. We also have contracts with the following towns to provide regularly scheduled transportation services to their residents age 60 and older: Chestertown, Hague, Horicon, Johnsburg, Lake George, Lake Luzerne, Lake Pleasant, Long Lake, Stony Creek, Thurman, Warrensburg, and Wells.

Organizations that arrange for or provide transportation for individuals whose points of origin and destinations are within their community or other nearby communities. These organizations also provide information for the public about rates, schedules and routes for these services.

Who May Ride: Anyone who registers for an account on the website. You mus provide credit card information.

Description: Provides exclusive taxi-style rides anytime and anywhere on request via computer or smartphone. No advance reservations. Uber has a feature to "request a Ride" for someone else. Once a driver has been selected, you should call or text them to let them know they are picking up someone else. No assistance is provided.

Service Hours: anytime

Fees: Usually $7 and up depending on distance traveled. A cost estimator feature is available to determine cost of ride. Payment is by credit card only, through the website. No payment needs to be provided in the vehicle.

The Borinquen Plaza Senior Center's primary goal is to enhance the well-being of community residents who are 60 years of age or older. The center serves breakfast and lunch Monday to Friday. Homebound seniors are able to receive nutritious meals through the center. There are lectures and discussions on various health topics. This site also offers transportation services.
