The Brooklyn Chinese-American Association (BCA) operates four senior centers across southern Brooklyn to accommodate the Asian senior population. BCAÆs senior centers have developed into common meeting places where seniors find companionship and engage in a variety of activities. Their Avenue U Senior Center offers the following services and activities to seniors: congregate meals are served five days a week, assistance in applying for entitlements, health and nutrition workshops, free medical screenings and examinations, singing and dancing classes, Chinese cultural dance and Chinese opera classes, aerobics and fitness classes, educational programs, and monthly birthday parties and holiday celebrations.
