Programs and Services include:
RECEPTION AND PLACEMENT
• Pre-Arrival Arrangements: Housing, Food, Clothing, etc.
• Welcome at the Airport & Transportation to Utica
• Initial Orientation
CASE MANAGEMENT
• Provided intensively for the first 30 days and can be extended up to 90 days after arrival
• Refugee Health Assessment and Special Medical Condition Assessment
• Referrals, Case Planning, and Coordination for Public Assistance, Primary Care, Mental Health (as needed), School Registration, Adult Education, Employment, etc.
• Crisis Support
• Monitoring (follow-up home visits)
CULTURAL ORIENTATION
• Helps newcomers develop skills and knowledge about the US and Utica
SECONDARY MIGRATION (resettled by an organization other than the MVRCR)
CENTRAL AMERICAN MINOR RENUNCIATION PROGRAM (CAM)
• The US Government helps children in El Salvador, Guatemala, and Honduras reunite with their parents, if the parents lawfully live in the US and apply to this program.
FAMILY REUNIFICATION (AOR) AFFIDAVIT OR RELATIONSHIP
• This is a form used for reunification of refugees and asylees with close relatives living outside of the US. Contact the MVRCR for more information.
